Time frame of elementary school principals

Abstracts: This bachelor's thesis concerns the technique intended to determine the distribution of individual activities during the day. This analytic technique is known as the "time frame". In this thesis, the technique is described not only theoretically, including the short overview about the alternative managers' techniques resulting with the better effectivity of elementary school principals' work. The thesis contains also a demonstration of practical research. Having the form of a special questionnaire, the time frames of a few elementary school principals are identified and processed, including the part of their personal time, i. e. not within the working hours. The proposed procedures should protect against the time thieves, as well as increase the effectivity of daily working habits of the elementary school principal. This thesis shows the interconnection of individual managers' techniques with time management field and brings inspiration to elementary school principals on how to use their time more effectively.
Application of managerial activities: cases of basketball teams of different age categories

Title: Application of managerial activities: cases of basketball teams of different age categories Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find out how the coaches of non-professional basketball deal with selected managerial activities and then compare how the application of these selected activities differs across age categories - from the youngest to adults. Methods: In this thesis was used comparison method, as well as the interview method and the questionnaire method. The method of comparation was used to compare the use of selected managerial activities across age categories and how individual coaches work with them. Data for comparation were obtained through personal or online semi-structured interviews with six basketball coaches of individual categories. The generalization of responses was achieved through an electronic questionnaire targeting all female non-professional basketball coaches of selected age categories and with its questions it fills in or founds out facts that followed on from the information obtained in the interviews. An Abstract: Evaluation is a crucial part of every human activity and every qualified school teacher knows that it is not possible to do the work without evaluating activities. That's why the teacher's evaluation becomes a necessary, meaningful and obvious part of the educational process. It belongs to the most difficult teaching activities. The target of my bachelor's work is to find out teachers' attitudes and practical experiences with evaluation. In a detailed analysis I tried to show the extensive and wide range that the ability contents. The meaning of my work is to describe and analyse all the evaluating activities on the basis of a qualitative research using a method of an interview. I tried to find out in which different professional contents nursery school teachers and manager school teachers do their evaluating activities. The work is divided in a theoretical and a practical part. The fisrt part is a summary of evaluation theoretical knowledge based on a study of technical literature. In the bachelor's work there are described processes of teacher's evaluating activities. Transformation of headmaster's role in the process of fusion of elementary schools with preschools

The topic of the thesis is a change of a role of headmaster in the process of merging basic schools and kindergartens. The aim of the thesis is to describe the role of the headmaster and the means by which he executes managerial activities before and after the merger. The theoretical part characterises managerial roles and defines the headmaster as a manager, a leader and an executive. It states managerial functions, or more precisely, activities, which the headmaster uses for successful accomplishment of his managerial work. The aim of the thesis is verified in the empirical part, which describes three case studies that were carried out with headmasters of basic schools who had already undergone the process of merging a basic school with a kindergarten. The main focus of the work is to describe how the role of the headmaster has changed, and whether the means of executing of managerial roles have been changed after the merger. The thesis could serve as supporting material for not only the directors who are in the process of merging, but also for the part of the public interested in this issue.

Life stories and career paths of School Headmasters

This theoretical-empirical thesis focuses on the life and career path of experienced School Principals of Preschools and Elementary Schools in Czech Republic and what the School Principal position is about. The theoretical part brings a closer look on an explanation of life and career path, summarisation of knowledge of the work of the School Principal itself including its competence and management skills, which are necessary to provide flawless run of every school. The empiric part presents the results of qualitatively oriented research. The main method of the data collection is in-depth semi-structured interview led by the School Principals, the supplementary data were gained from the analysis of publicly accessible documents, especially inspection reports, and by supplementary interviews with Deputy School Principals or with the founders. The research sample is very wide even though it consists of only three respondents - the Principal of Elementary School, the Principal of Preschool and the Principal of school combining Preschool and a first grade of Elementary School. The analysis of the data obtained from in-deep interviews leads to finding the most fundamental persons and moments, which had a great influence on the respondents when choosing their occupation and their view on the profession itself,...
